Event Info
Dame Du Lac – The Woman in the Lake is for many known as the holder of the excalibur in the legend of King Arthur. For people in parkour, traceurs, it is know to be a legendary spot in the cradle of Parkour in Lisse, France. Straight in the birthplace of Parkour it has been the source of many of the movement and training that formed the discipline that today is Parkour.
The word symbolises the silent holding of power and self governance and unbreaking spirit. It’s with these words we go into the even Dame Du Lac – Women in Parkour.
Dame Du Lac is a parkour event for women and non-binary. Lead by the talented coach and president of Pink Parkour Vivi Silva you will get a full day of moving, learning and bonding with likeminded people in a safe, curious and engaging atmosphere curated for women.
What to expect
In a series of workshops and seminars Vivi will help you reconnect with your body on an evolutionary way. Drawing inspiration from Yamakasi – the founding members of Parkour she will create a day where you work together to learn new techniques, form attributes and get a great workout while continuously checking in and leaving space for individual challenges and movement! In the end of the day she will take you through a inclusive seminar where she will talk about the challenges and experiences of being a women training parkour, both the social but also the physical experience of being an active woman going through life including everything from child birth to being a mom and going through menopause.
In Parkourhall1 in Stockholm we will rebuild the scaff part of the gym to a brand new design completely designed by the women of parkour to completely create a space that is safe, fun and adapted to you.
